A unique multipurpose park for your leisure time.
The park is open every year from April to October.
The Olympia Park, which opened the first time in May of 2010, covers an area of 5.3 hectares and has the best prerequisites to become a pleasant place to rest and to relax and to be a place that provides leisure activities for the entire family.
The 18 m high climbing wall with a large number of climbing routes and its own private facilities is a dominant that cannot be overlooked.
There are small railroad trains which pass through the park and in the near future the park will also have a small railroad station, tunnel and train turntable.
Children are guaranteed to enjoy the observation pyramid, pillar labyrinth or stone blocks with the built-in social games The Mill and The Lady.
There is a 1.3 km long and 3.5 m wide in-line skating track and a number of interactive playgrounds for children and adults.
A modern amphitheatre with a capacity of 350 spectators will be used for cultural performances.
Refreshments and other visitors’ needs have been taken care of.
The Olympia Park is very conveniently connected with the segregated cycle facilities surrounding rivers Svitava and Svratka and so it will surely become a favorite place where not only the shopping centre customers will like to stop by.
The park also has a bio-corridor, which was preserved under the strict supervision of architect Zdeňek Sendler’s architectural office. As a result, the park visitors have the opportunity to see a piece of nature untouched by human hands.
Since its opening on May 22, 2010, the grounds of this new relaxation zone are freely accessible and people can enjoy everything that is offered there from April to October between nine o'clock in the morning until ten o'clock in the evening. Entrance tickets and most of the attractions are free. Only the rides in the small trains must be paid for (one ride cost approximately 50 CZK, more information is available here) and visitors must also pay for the use of the climbing wall (more information and price list is available here).
The entire Olympia Park project is all the more remarkable, because it has been fully funded from the private sources and it doesn't burden the national or European budgets. It was created because of the successful functioning of Olympia, the largest shopping and entertainment centre in Moravia and because of the enlightened approach of its owner.
